Braggadocio!
A downloadable party game
Braggadocio : noun; the exaggerated talk of someone who is trying to sound very proud or brave.
Submitted for the Tabletop Stocking Stuffers jam!
You are a group of brave adventurers in a fantastic world who have just completed a long journey. You've come to the best tavern in the city to celebrate, where a dashing Bard greets you as an adoring fan!
They wish to write and perform the tales of your glorious deeds...
but which of you is the most glorious?
You will have to compete with each other to tell the grandest tale of your exploits without the Bard calling your bluffs.
Whoever tells the best tales tonight will go down in history...
Braggadocio! is a cooperative AND competitive storytelling game for 2 to 4 players. You'll need a deck of cards, a six-sided die, and plenty of creativity and humor to play.
It's a bit like Blackjack, but everyone is playing the same hand, and you must tell a piece of the story to "hit." You want to be the one who gets the closest to the target number without going over and blowing it for the whole party!
Each player will get to choose a character -- Healer, Warrior, Thief, or Mage -- each with their own special ability to achieve that goal and claim all the glory for themselves.
You'll have to be careful, though. Bust too many times and the Bard will call your bluffs. No legends will be written about your group tonight.
But if you play your cards just right, the world will see you as heroes for ages to come.
Braggadocio! is a game that can be easily printed on a single sheet (front and back) of standard USA Letter-Size paper. Or just use it as a pdf. You do you.
